Queen City Comedy Intern Program

A Partnership Program

Virginia Commonwealth University is a major, urban public research university with national and international rankings in sponsored research. Located in downtown Richmond, VCU enrolls more than 31,000 students in 225 degree and certificate programs in the arts, sciences and humanities. Seventy-nine of the programs are unique in Virginia, many of them crossing the disciplines of VCU’s 13 schools and one college.

This program is a partnership with the Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, one of the country's best schools for arts and design, under the direction of Professor Elizabeth Byland. Current students and alumni receive credit and real life experience in Theater Management. Our interns have a passion for comedy and performance and use their time to further their learnings and create new networks within the comedy comunity.
